Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Laoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waldemir Warzecha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laoka comes to the cage accompanied by The Bell Tolls. Waldemir Warzecha is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Katsu Laoka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Waldemir Warzecha!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Warzecha lands.
Warzecha has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Laoka is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Warzecha shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Laoka is trying to defend but Warzecha finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Warzecha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Laoka controlling the position well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laoka is looking to control Warzecha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Laoka avoid being mounted?
Laoka blocking the ground and pound attempt from Warzecha.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warzecha is stalling here. Laoka is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Warzecha seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Laoka has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Warzecha tries to buck Laoka off but Laoka is having none of it.
Warzecha is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Laoka's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Laoka tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Warzecha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Warzecha is looking to control Laoka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Warzecha avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Laoka has knocked Warzecha down with a huge combo! Laoka steps away and waves a wobbly Warzecha back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Warzecha is rocked!


It looks like Waldemir Warzecha has been cut.
Laoka slips under a jab.
Laoka misses with a low kick.
Laoka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Warzecha has time to react.
Katsu Laoka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warzecha pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Laoka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Warzecha, pushing him back against the cage.
Laoka gets underhooks to prevent Warzecha's takedown attempt.
Warzecha has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Laoka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Laoka gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Warzecha.
Katsu Laoka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waldemir Warzecha.
Laoka lands a right hand that snaps the head of Warzecha backwards.
Laoka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Warzecha drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Laoka tries a knee to the head but Warzecha blocks it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Laoka prevents a takedown attempt there.
Laoka landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Laoka gets through Warzecha's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Laoka manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Laoka lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Laoka is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Laoka just leaning against Warzecha, taking a breather.
Laoka can't get the takedown.
Laoka throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Warzecha blocks it with crossed arms.
Laoka working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Warzecha makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Warzecha lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Laoka backwards.
Laoka taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Laoka fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Warzecha changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Laoka fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Laoka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Warzecha is still on wobbly legs! Can Laoka finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warzecha misses with a looping left.
Laoka attempts a counter takedown but Warzecha avoids it well and moves away.
Warzecha seems to have recovered his senses.
Katsu Laoka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Warzecha throws a shot from downtown. Laoka moves away and avoids it.
Laoka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Warzecha.
Laoka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Laoka closes the distance and pushes Warzecha back into the cage.

Laoka drops Warzecha with a big knee straight up the middle! Warzecha is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Laoka lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Warzecha falls backwards - clearly groggy! Laoka dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Katsu Laoka!
A victorious Katsu Laoka thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Waldemir Warzecha spoke after the fight, saying 'He is a tough opponent and I thought I would do better than I did. I've got the skills but tonight wasn't my night. Congrats Man.'.
