Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasili Shmirchnikov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware tries to clinch there but Shmirchnikov circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ware looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shmirchnikov throws a big counter head kick but Ware avoids it with no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Shmirchnikov bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Shmirchnikov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ware knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Shmirchnikov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ware's shoulder. That is not cool.
Ware is not content to let Shmirchnikov control the position.

Ware is trying to force a seperation but Shmirchnikov has the dominant position.

Ware has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Shmirchnikov has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ware looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shmirchnikov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ware takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ricardo Ware has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vasili Shmirchnikov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Vasili Shmirchnikov.
