Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Mctanned!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Ferrigno!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mctanned uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ferrigno.
Mctanned half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ferrigno stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mctanned.
Ferrigno throws a big shot that misses.
Mctanned attempts a counter takedown but Ferrigno avoids it well and moves away.
Ferrigno scores with a punch to the head.


It looks like Paul Mctanned has been cut.
Ferrigno throws a lazy right hand but Mctanned sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ferrigno rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Mctanned counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mctanned trying to control but Ferrigno is working from the bottom.

Mctanned with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferrigno working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mctanned doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mctanned manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing that Mctanned has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Mctanned is nestled in close to Ferrigno, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Paul Mctanned looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'The Future is now'.
