The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Griffin throws a right hand that misses
and Atunes counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Griffin steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Atunes. That one must have hurt.
Atunes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Griffin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Atunes.
Griffin works the jab nicely.
Atunes scores with a punch to the head.
Griffin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Atunes explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Atunes dips to his left and cracks Griffin with an uppercut!

Griffin is rocked!
We've been hearing reports that Griffin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Griffin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oh Griffin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Griffin throws a head punch that misses.

Atunes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Griffin takes a swing at Atunes's ribcage but misses.
Griffin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
