Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Cassius Hunter and Richard Kuklinski. Richard Kuklinski told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Cassius Hunter! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Richard Kuklinski!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.


Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?

Kuklinski pushes Hunter up against the cage in a clinch.

Kuklinski decides to pull guard.
Kuklinski wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hunter is now in half guard.
Hunter prevents Kuklinski from improving his position.

Hunter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kuklinski is just riding it out for now. Hunter eventually gives up the hold.
Kuklinski is looking for a sweep. Hunter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuklinski wants to sweep but Hunter has passed to side control!

Hunter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Kuklinski is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Hunter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hunter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kuklinski gets back to half guard.
Kuklinski tries to get to full guard but Hunter has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hunter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kuklinski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kuklinski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hunter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hunter's back!

A lull in the action here.
My spies in ~T~ Troid - Gym inform me that Kuklinski has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Hunter is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Will Kuklinski go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Hunter is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuklinski is cranking Hunter's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hunter! He's tightened the choke and Hunter is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Richard Kuklinski!
