Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beebop Jackson !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


England fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
England displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson .
England stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and England wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

England gets tackled into the cage by Jackson . Jackson maintains the clinch.
England tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson tries to pull guard but England won't allow it.

Jackson is trying to trip England. He has hold of a leg but England is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jackson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

England is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
England is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
England is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but England can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
England shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Beebop Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

England dives in for a single leg takedown but Jackson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

England throws some wild stikes that Jackson manages to avoid easily.
Jackson is just holding on here. England manages to take his back.
England throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Beebop Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

England seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.
