The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith clobbers Anttila with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Smith gets caught napping as Anttila dives in and scores a takedown. Smith manages to retain guard.
Anttila wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Anttila's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Anttila has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Smith has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Smith is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Anttila off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Smith is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Anttila gets his way!
Smith can't escape the position.

Anttila looking to break Smith's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Smith remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Anttila will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Anttila is trying to stick to Smith's back but Smith is turning into Anttila. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Anttila's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Smith.

Smith paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Anttila - great work!
