Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Feta Kuli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Schneeger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Schneeger.
Schneeger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuli moves away.
Kuli feinted with a counter takedown.
Kuli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kuli looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Kuli is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Schneeger sees it coming and defends easily.

Kuli is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kuli is trying to control the action in half guard but Schneeger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kuli looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Schneeger is looking to control Kuli's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Schneeger avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schneeger tries to kick Kuli off but Kuli keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kuli uses his free foot to push down on Schneeger's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Schneeger.
Schneeger felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Schneeger is trying to escape the mount but Kuli keeps good control and instead manages to take Schneeger's back.

Kuli is trying to stick to Schneeger's back but Schneeger is turning into Kuli. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kuli's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Schneeger.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kuli takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Schneeger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schneeger looks to land a body kick but Kuli moved away.
Schneeger throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kuli just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuli takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Schneeger explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kuli is breathing heavily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schneeger lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Feta Kuli has been cut.
Schneeger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Schneeger connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Schneeger feints and then cracks Kuli's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kuli down.
Kuli sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schneeger, as that shot connected.

Schneeger drops his shoulder and cracks Kuli with a huge uppercut! Kuli goes down! Can Schneeger finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kuli walks forward, straight into a front kick from Schneeger.
Kuli takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Kuli attempts a counter takedown but Schneeger avoids it well and moves away.

Schneeger explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Schneeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kuli avoids the head kick by Schneeger.
Kuli tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Schneeger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It seemed like Schneeger was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Dick Schneeger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schneeger lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Jeez, Feta Kuli's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Feta Kuli's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
