Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cirus looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bishop!
The strikes coming from Cirus are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Cirus throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bishop works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Cirus seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Cirus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bishop bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cirus's guard.
Bishop lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Cirus.
Cirus shoots in for a takedown but Bishop shows good takedown defense.
And Bishop tries to counter it with a takedown but Cirus pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bishop shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cirus napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cirus wants to get back to his feet.
Cirus's coaches at Animal House have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Bishop lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cirus down.
Cirus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Bishop stalls from top position.

You get the feeling that Cirus really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bishop with shots to the head and body - Cirus looks very uncomfortable down there.
Bishop looking to control but Cirus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cirus tries to buck Bishop off but he can't manage it.
Cirus is bucking up trying to escape but Bishop cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bishop lands a big shot to the head and Cirus winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
