Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bram Nijhoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masters comes to the cage accompanied by Simply the Best. The key to victory for Ken Masters has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Bram Nijhoff!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nijhoff looks to land a combination but Masters avoids it well.
Masters dips to his left and cracks Nijhoff with an uppercut!
Nijhoff misses with a combination
and Masters counters with a nice uppercut.
Masters wants to clinch.

Nijhoff gets a takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masters trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Masters takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Masters is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nijhoff in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Nijhoff fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We've been hearing good reports from Masters 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Masters manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Masters , under a barage of strikes from Nijhoff.

Masters is looking for a sweep. Nijhoff is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Nijhoff shoots in for a takedown but Masters shows good takedown defense.
Nijhoff misses with a takedown attempt - Masters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Masters quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Ken Masters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bram Nijhoff.
Nijhoff shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Masters defends it nicely.
Ken Masters is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nijhoff fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Masters manages to avoid it.
Nijhoff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Masters sprawls well. Masters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nijhoff gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nijhoff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Masters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nijhoff somewhat.

Masters connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Masters jabs Nijhoff to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice takedown defense from Masters . No joy for Nijhoff on that attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Masters is pressed up against the cage. Nijhoff has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Masters down to the mat. Masters avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Masters will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Ken Masters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bram Nijhoff.

Nijhoff is rocked!
Masters lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Nijhoff head around and knocks him out cold! Masters hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ken Masters !
Ken Masters seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
