Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Merik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Comfortably Numb. Sato has chosen Call to prayer of islam as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 48 - 26 - 0, fighting out of London, Merik Hunt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Rumina Sato!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt walks into a jab.

Hunt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sato on his heels. He'll look to pass Sato's guard now, I'm sure.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sato wants to stand but Hunt is controlling the position.
Sato preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sato is pulling down on Hunt's head. It's preventing any offense from Hunt, at least for the moment.
Sato wants to stand and escape but Hunt is having none of it.
Hunt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sato wants to get back to his feet but Hunt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hunt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hunt keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sato's head.
Hunt chips away with some ground and pound.
Sato wants to get back to his feet but Hunt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hunt forces his way into half guard.

Sato has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hunt is on him like a limpet, forcing Sato back against the cage.
Sato's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sato has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That was a close round but I would say that Merik Hunt will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
