And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dickie Crash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lord bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Crash's head backwards.
Crash takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Crash scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like William Lord has been cut.
Crash missing with a left hand there. Lord was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lord seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Crash lands a big head kick that sends Lord tumbling to the mat! Crash takes a step backwards and waves Lord back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crash keeps control of Lord as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That kick from Crash tenderised Lord's leg. Lord is trying to keep his angry face on.

Crash's corner calls for a 1-2. Crash obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lord throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

William Lord's cut is getting worse.
Crash wants to clinch
and Lord counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lord or perhaps it was just good defense by Crash, which made it look bad.
Crash tries to counter with a clinch but Lord shakes him off and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Lord. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lord pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lord throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crash.
Crash tries to clinch up but Lord circles away and keeps his distance.

Crash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lord manages to avoid it.

Crash will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lord swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lord throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Crash stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Crash doesn't manage to clinch there - Lord circles away.
Lord moves out of range of the body kick from Crash.
Crash moves out of range as Lord strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crash drops his hands momentarily and Lord takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Lord feints and then cracks Crash's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Crash down.
Crash lands a leg kick that knocks Lord off balance momentarily.
Lord moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Crash lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Crash forces Lord back against the ropes and clinches.
Crash unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lord lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Lord tries to break the clinch but Crash is controlling the position.

A head punch on the inside from Lord fails to land.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lord shoots in looking for a takedown. Crash tries to sprawl out of it but Lord keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Crash manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Crash throws out a counter right but Lord avoids it with no problem.
Crash connects with a leg kick. Lord looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Crash counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
