PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Martin Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Vetrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vetrov has chosen Enae Volare Mezzo as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Niko Vetrov!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vetrov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Vetrov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Teller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Teller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Teller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vetrov, as that shot connected.
Teller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vetrov circles away.

Teller turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Teller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Vetrov wants to get back to his feet.
Teller is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vetrov's shoulder. That is not cool.

Teller misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
