Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Horcea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Horcea has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Horcea!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horcea shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Horcea was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Horcea prevents Hendrix from escaping the position.
Horcea wants to stand but Hendrix has his arm trapped.

Horcea is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hendrix has escaped the position, nice work there.
Horcea working the ground and pound but Hendrix is defending the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horcea is looking to take a break and control but Hendrix is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Horcea is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Hendrix is looking to reverse the position.
Hendrix is trying to work for a sweep but Horcea has mounted him!
Hendrix sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Horcea is pressing down on Hendrix's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hendrix is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hendrix shoots for a takedown but Horcea saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Horcea shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hendrix napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hendrix sneaks out the side door and pushes Horcea away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Horcea moves into the clinch.

Horcea misses with a body punch.
Hendrix blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hendrix prevents a body shot from Horcea.

Horcea has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hendrix is trying to keep an underhook but Horcea manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Horcea seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hendrix does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Horcea is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hendrix is staying active underneath Horcea, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hendrix fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Horcea sprawls well initially but Hendrix persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hendrix will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hendrix manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Horcea keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Horcea has had enough of the clinch but Hendrix keeps him there for the moment.

Hendrix is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Horcea to keep the fight standing.

Hendrix is looking to break free of the clinch but Horcea has double underhooks.

Horcea has clasped his hands together around Hendrix's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horcea escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hendrix gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hendrix is concentrating on defense, preventing Horcea from advancing position.
Hendrix tries to get to full guard but Horcea has control of the leg.

Hendrix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horcea on the ground.

Marcus Horcea comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Horcea has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
