Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taiei Kin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omar Little!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kin.
Little misses with an uppercut
and Kin counters with a body kick that stops Little in his tracks momentarily.
Kin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Little takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Little.
Kin throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Little has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Little rushes Kin and presses him up against the ropes.
Little tries a knee to the head but Kin blocks it.
Kin lands with a right to the head.
Little tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
I was talking to Kin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Kin tries to land knees in the clinch but Little avoids the damage to the body.
Kin blocking some punches.
Kin misses with some punches.
Kin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Little has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Little misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kin blocks a body shot from Little.
Kin is pushing Little up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.

Kin tries to stall but Little uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Little on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kin looking to slow down the pace here.
Kin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Little as the two fighters clinch.
Little tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Little working aggressively here.
Kin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kin tries to work over Little's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A right handed body shot lands from Little.

Little lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Little takes a shot to the head.
Little connects with a knee to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Little takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Little tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kin takes a knee right on the jaw!
The referee is keeping an eye on Little - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kin is looking to control Little's arms but Little gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kin has his back to the ropes.
Kin avoiding damage as Little throws knees to the body.
Kin tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kin is stalling here.
Little gets through Kin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kin stalling in the clinch but Little improves position.
Little unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Little looking to throw knees to the head but Kin is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Little scores with a nice hook to the head.
Little misses with a hook from the clinch.

Little escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kin throws a head kick that misses
and Little scores with a counter punch that sends Kin to the canvas! Little smells blood - he's punishing Kin with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kin has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Little!
A very excited looking Omar Little rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
