PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Rocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocca comes into the arena with ULTRAnumb by Blue Stahli blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocca tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gordon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rocca shoots in looking for a takedown but Gordon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rocca's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gordon doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Rocca misses with a two punch combination.
Xavier Rocca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rocca definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rocca takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Rocca will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gordon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rocca throws a looping overhand right but Gordon ducks down to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gordon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Gordon drops Rocca onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Rocca is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
