Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wi Tu Lo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Mendez!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendez was well out of range. Poor timing from Lo.
Lo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mendez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Los jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nice cross by Mendez.
Mendez throws a lazy right hand but Lo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mendez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lo.
Lo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mendez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lo throws a jab when Mendez was well out of range.
Lo misses with a looping right.
We've been informed that Mendez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lo throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Mendez counter with a right hand.
Mendez's corner calls for a 1-2. Mendez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mendez throws a shot from downtown. Lo moves away and avoids it.
Mendez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mendez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lo on the side of the head.
Lo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mendez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mendez.
Mendez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lo.
Mendez ducks under a wild hook from Lo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendez scores with a decent looking hook.
Mendez looks to land a left hand but Lo moved out of range nicely.
Lo connects with a body shot that sends Mendez's belly button to the back.
Lo misses with a wild body shot.
Lo throws a right hand that Mendez ducks under and follows up with a left that Mendez also avoids with ease.
Mendez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lo slips a jab from Mendez.
Lo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mendez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lo is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Mendez's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Lo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mendez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lo slips under a jab from Mendez.
Lo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mendez manages to avoid it.
Lo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mendez.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mendez works the jab nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mendez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lo misses with a left hand
and Mendez counters with a stiff right hand.
Mendez scores with a punch to the head.
Mendez lands a really nice looking cross but Lo seems unphased.


Lo is rocked!
Lo throws a big shot that misses.
Oh Lo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lo misses with a left hand
and Mendez rattles Lo with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Lo tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Mendez dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Lo stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). George Mendez!
An out of breath George Mendez thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
