Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Twiggy BigBranch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Twiggy BigBranch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
BigBranch fails with the takedown.
BigBranch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
BigBranch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyka is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked BigBranch off and has taken his back!
BigBranch tries to escape but Boyka has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

BigBranch drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boyka manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now BigBranch has Boyka in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Yuri Boyka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boyka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
