Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Shinobi!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches.

Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shinobi moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez.
Shinobi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Shinobi tries a knee to the head but Sanchez blocks it.
Sanchez pushes Shinobi back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Shinobi has had enough of the clinch but Sanchez keeps him there for the moment.
Shinobi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Scot Sanchez has been cut.
Shinobi tries to break free but Sanchez pushes him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Shinobi closes the distance and pushes Sanchez back into the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sanchez takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sanchez keeps control of Shinobi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sanchez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sanchez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sanchez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sanchez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Sanchez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sanchez winds up and cracks Shinobi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sanchez is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sanchez passes the guard and advances to mount!

Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanchez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shinobi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sanchez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shinobi is posturing up here but Sanchez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Shinobi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Shinobi has to tap! Slick submission there by Sanchez!
