Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Angelito. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Corbett is out of range.
Corbett tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice shot lands for Mendez.
Mendez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mendez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mendez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Corbett counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Corbett ducks right into an uppercut from Mendez.
Corbett shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mendez moves out of range of the body kick from Corbett.
Corbett is looking to land body kicks.
Mendez closes the distance and clinches up with Corbett, looking for a takedown. Mendez pushes Corbett against the cage but Corbett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Corbett lands a leg kick that knocks Mendez off balance momentarily.
Corbett takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Corbett drops his hands momentarily and Mendez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mendez lands a two punch combo.

Corbett is rocked!
Corbett moves in looking to clinch but Mendez pushes him off.
Corbett has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Corbett is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendez finish him?
Mendez steps in with a hook that catches Corbett right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mendez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Corbett looks absolutely devastated.
