Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tojii Gambin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gambin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doe tries to avoid it but Gambin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doe to the ground. Doe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Doe throws out a counter right but Gambin avoids it with no problem.
Gambin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tojii Gambin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gambin looks to land a body kick but Doe moved away.
It seemed like Doe was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gambin throws a nice looking combination but Doe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gambin dives in for a single leg takedown but Doe sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Doe scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

No joy there for Doe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Doe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gambin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Doe as he avoids it easily.
Gambin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Doe if he has to take too many more of those.

Despite the aggression on Doe's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Doe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Doe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gambin.
Gambin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Tojii Gambin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gambin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gambin has been working on his balance at Always Clean Double Elite, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Doe.

Gambin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gambin fails to land the takedown.
Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Doe is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gambin rather than just go for the knockout.

Doe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gambins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Doe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gambin.
Gambin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Doe counters with a left to the body.
A nice combination there by Doe.
Doe lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Doe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gambin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gambin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Doe is trying to defend but Gambin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gambin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working.
Gambin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Gambin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Doe is not content to let Gambin control the position.

Doe manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Gambin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Doe avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tojii Gambin's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gambin tries for a kimura but Doe is defending well.
Doe wants to get back to his feet.

Gambin is working to tighten his grip on Doe's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Doe has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gambin is really squeezing tight and eventually Doe passes out! Gambin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
