Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Guillermo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Guillermo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Guillermo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guillermo avoids the head kick by Da Silva.
As Da Silva backs off Guillermo throws a huge counter combo but Da Silva manages to avoid it all.
Da Silva tries to clinch but Guillermo is having none of it.
Guillermo moves out of range of the body kick.
Guillermo shoots in but no luck this time.
Da Silva throws a leg kick

and Guillermo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Da Silva looking for a takedown.
Guillermo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Da Silva.
Da Silva has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Guillermo after a bit of a struggle.

Da Silva has Guillermo pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Guillermo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Da Silva's coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Guillermo works his foot free and advances to mount.
Da Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guillermo on the ground.

Guillermo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Guillermo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Guillermo cracks Da Silva with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Guillermo tries to control but Da Silva wriggling away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guillermo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Guillermo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Da Silva - the referee stops the clock and Guillermo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Da Silva. Guillermo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Guillermo tries for a takedown but Da Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Guillermo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Da Silva to the mat! Da Silva manages to get full guard.

Da Silva feints a jab promting Guillermo to slip. Da Silva then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Guillermo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Da Silva has had enough of the clinch but Guillermo keeps him there for the moment.
Guillermo has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Da Silva seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Guillermo can turn it around.

Da Silva has gone for a leg lock! Guillermo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Da Silva's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucas Da Silva will probably get the nod.
That's time! Da Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Guillermo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Da Silva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Da Silva for a finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Guillermo has the hooks in. Da Silva is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
I really don't envy Da Silva right now.

Eddie Guillermo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Guillermo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
