The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves misses with a straight right.
Alves will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alves on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Both fighters circling a little - Schwetty finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Schwetty scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Alves tries a head kick but it misses.
Alves cracks Schwetty with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Alves has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Alves blocks a low kick nicely.
A jab from Alves misses.
Alves misses with a head kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Schwetty.
Schwetty cracks a nice hook into Alves 's ribs.
Schwetty throws a body punch but Alves moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alves walks into a straight right hand from Schwetty.
Schwetty's corner calls for a 1-2. Schwetty obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Renzo Alves has been cut.
Alves shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schwetty defends it nicely.
Schwetty misses with a double jab.
Schwetty lands a nice looking body shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alves or perhaps it was just good defense by Schwetty, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renzo Alves . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alves shoots for a takedown but Schwetty saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alves is breathing heavily.

Schwetty lands a big right hand that sends Alves crashing to the mat! Schwetty stays standing though and waves Alves back to his feet!

Oh Alves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schwetty takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Schwetty throws a pinpoint strike between Alves 's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Alves crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Schwetty scores a great knockout victory!
