The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes shoots in looking for a takedown but Xezeron manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Menezes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Menezes is defended easily by Xezeron.
Good exchange - Xezeron coming out on top.
Xezeron throws a body punch but Menezes moves out of range.
Menezes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Xezeron sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Menezes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Xezeron stuffs the takedown attempt from Menezes. Menezes gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Xezeron cracks Menezes with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Menezes tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Xezeron pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Menezes is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

A relieved looking Maximillian Xezeron thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
