Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Newmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adis Djurdjevic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newmark comes into the arena with On the run blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Newmark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 2, fighting out of London, Adis Djurdjevic!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Djurdjevic blocks a head kick by Newmark.
We've been told by Newmark's head coaches at Fighting Fitness & Freedom that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Djurdjevic walks into a stiff left hand from Newmark.
Djurdjevic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Djurdjevic's coach down at X Training Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Djurdjevic's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Djurdjevic tests Newmark's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Newmark bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Djurdjevic's head backwards.
Djurdjevic goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Newmark appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Djurdjevic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.


It looks like Adis Djurdjevic has been cut.
Newmark takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Newmark closes the distance looking to clinch
and Newmark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Djurdjevic slips a jab from Newmark.
Newmark on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Djurdjevic. Djurdjevic obviously looking to wear him down.

Newmark throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Djurdjevic blocks it with crossed arms.

Newmark's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A nice left hand lands by Djurdjevic.
Djurdjevic blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Newmark lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Newmark tries to work over Djurdjevic's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Newmark stops a takedown attempt from Djurdjevic.
Newmark lands with a short shot to the head.
Newmark gets underhooks to prevent Djurdjevic's takedown attempt.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Newmark creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Djurdjevic swings wildly with an uppercut but Newmark uses good head movement to avoid it.
Newmark with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A nice right hand lands inside from Djurdjevic.

Djurdjevic can't find room to land a body shot as Newmark controls the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Djurdjevic is rocked!
Newmark takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Djurdjevic is off balance and as he stumbles, Newmark throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Djurdjevic's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Bobby Newmark!
Our winner, Bobby Newmark, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
The defeated Adis Djurdjevic had this to say: 'I've been out of the game over a year, but i'm back and next time so will my win streak'.
