The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rubey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rubey lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Marsh has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at GTi 888. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rubey tries to clinch there but Marsh circles away.

Marsh connects with a nice looking jab.

Rubey cracks Marsh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rubey connects with a solid leg kick.
Rubey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marsh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubey.
Rubey takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Marsh has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A slow jab from Rubey misses its intended target.
Rubey throws a lazy right hand but Marsh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Marsh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rubey throws a shot from downtown. Marsh moves away and avoids it.
Marsh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rubey throws out the jab.
Marsh drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Rubey right on the button. Rubey goes down! Marsh follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Marsh gets the win via TKO!
