Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claymore Longshanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Charles Brock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Claymore Longshanks!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Longshanks.
A little feinted left hand from Brock on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Longshanks thows a leg kick but Brock checks it

and Brock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Longshanks utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Brock pushing down on Longshanks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Longshanks is not content to let Brock control the position.
Brock winds up and cracks Longshanks with a swinging punch to the side of the head.


It looks like Claymore Longshanks has been cut.

Brock is trying to work for a kimura but Longshanks is defending well.

Brock is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Longshanks is just riding it out for now. Brock eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Brock wants to work for an arm triangle but Longshanks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brock looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Longshanks sees it coming and defends easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Longshanks manages to get to full guard.
Brock trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brock trying to control the position from guard on top but Longshanks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Longshanks tries a head kick but it misses.
Brock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Longshanks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Longshanks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brock shoots in for a takedown but Longshanks shows good takedown defense.

Brock wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Longshanks throws a head kick that misses.
Longshanks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brock.
Brock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Longshanks pinned against the cage. Longshanks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brock moves forwards but Longshanks connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Brock looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brock is keen to just control but Longshanks is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Longshanks slaps away a takedown attempt from Brock, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Longshanks throws a series of punches but Brock moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Brock blocks the leg kick.
Brock looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Longshanks is fending him off so far but Brock persists. Nope, Longshanks circles away and we're back to standing.
Brock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Brock fails to land the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Longshanks! But no joy.

Brock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brock half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Longshanks lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brock has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brock and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Brock in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Longshanks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brock advances position into side control!

Brock is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Longshanks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brock is looking to take a break and control but Longshanks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Longshanks moves into range and connects with a jab.

Brock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Longshanks's guard.

Brock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Longshanks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brock, into his guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Longshanks working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Brock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Longshanks defends well.

Brock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Longshanks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Longshanks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Longshanks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Longshanks has managed to get both his arms back between Brock's legs - danger averted.

Brock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Longshanks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Longshanks passes Brock's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Brock is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Longshanks pulls his head out easily.
Longshanks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Edward Charles Brock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brock is staying active underneath Longshanks, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Longshanks works his way into side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Claymore Longshanks seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Longshanks bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Longshanks lands a big uppercut and Brock crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Brock looks OK. Longshanks waves Brock back to his feet!
Brock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Longshanks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Longshanks looks for the body kick but Brock saw that one coming.
Brock takes one to the side of the head.


Brock is rocked!
Longshanks throws a shot from downtown. Brock moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Claymore Longshanks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Brock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Longshanks cracks Brock with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Longshanks has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brock to stand back up!
Oh Brock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Longshanks looks to throw the jab but Brock is out of range.
Brock seems to have got his legs back now.
Brock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Longshanks as he jumps to the side.
Longshanks is looking for the big counter here.
Longshanks tries to bum rush Brock with a series of wild strikes but Brock uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Longshanks throws a leg kick which misses Brock's front leg but catches the back leg as Brock tries to avoid it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Longshanks lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. Brock shoots for a double leg takedown but Longshanks sprawls well. He's pushed Brock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Longshanks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brock attempts a counter takedown but Longshanks avoids it well and moves away.
Claymore Longshanks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brock takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Longshanks misses the shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Are you kidding me?! Longshanks ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Brock clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Claymore Longshanks spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
