Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Eikmeyer is trying to defend but Belt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Eikmeyer wants to improve his position but Belt is controlling well.

Belt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Belt is trying to work for a kimura but Eikmeyer is defending well.

Belt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eikmeyer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Belt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Belt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eikmeyer is just riding it out for now. Belt eventually gives up the hold.

Eikmeyer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Belt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Eikmeyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Belt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Belt has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Eikmeyer can't keep his opponent in guard - Belt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Eikmeyer shoots in looking for a takedown. Belt tries to sprawl out of it but Eikmeyer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Belt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Eikmeyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Belt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Belt is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Eikmeyer off and has taken his back!

Well, with Belt on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Eikmeyer is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belt is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Eikmeyer won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Belt off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Black Belt!
