The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonanza shoots for a double leg takedown but Lang sprawls well. He's pushed Bonanza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lang looks to score with a jab to the body but Bonanza is just out of range.
Lang dips to his left and cracks Bonanza with an uppercut!
Lang lands a jab to Bonanza's midsection.
Lang has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Grindhouse in the buildup to the fight.
Lang misses with a looping right.
Bonanza tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lang lands with an uppercut that bounces Bonanza off the cage and back into range.
Lang takes a swing at Bonanza's ribcage but misses.
And Bonanza tries to counter it with a takedown but Lang pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lang, as that shot connected.
Lang missing with a left hand there. Bonanza was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bonanza sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bonanza drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lang defends it well.
Bonanza has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lang misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bonanza.
Lang moves into the clinch.
Lang lands with a right to the head.

Lang lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bonanza takes a shot to the head.
Lang scores with a shot to the side of Bonanza's head.

Lang dips a shoulder and cracks Bonanza with a mighty uppercut! Bonanza falls back against the cage and Lang unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bonanza is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lang screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Lang!
