Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Beyett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abraham Grimes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Beyett!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beyett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Grimes has his hands on Beyett's head, controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beyett scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Grimes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beyett controls the pace.
Grimes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Beyett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Beyett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Grimes wants to sweep here but Beyett controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grimes can't keep his opponent in guard - Beyett advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Beyett throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Grimes tries to reverse the position but Beyett maintains control.

Beyett jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Grimes manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Beyett drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Beyett seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Grimes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beyett is aware though and is defending well.

Grimes gets caught napping as Beyett dives in and scores a takedown. Grimes manages to retain guard.
Grimes wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Beyett manages to pass to side control.

Beyett is working for a submission of some sort.
Grimes is looking for a sweep. Beyett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Grimes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Beyett.

Beyett slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Diego Beyett has got the better of the ground game so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Grimes trying to control but not successfully.
Beyett has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Grimes's body.
Grimes tries to break free.
Beyett is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Beyett is not going to allow Grimes to sit and survive in this position.

Beyett is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Grimes has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Grimes is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Beyett.
Beyett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Beyett looking to break Grimes's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Grimes remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Beyett will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

You can see the frustration on Grimes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Grimes wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

That kick from Beyett tenderised Grimes's leg. Grimes is trying to keep his angry face on.

Beyett makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diego Beyett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Beyett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
