Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frederick Knox!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knox gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Webb goes for a takedown attempt but Knox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Webb fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knox avoids it really well and circles away.

Knox closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Webb is trying to get back to half guard.
Webb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knox wants to control but Webb is keeping him busy.

Knox tries to advance to mount but can't.
Knox cracks Webb with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Knox goes for an armbar but Webb turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Webb.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Knox looking to hit a scissor sweep but Webb is one step ahead there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Webb looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Knox passes into half guard.

Knox throws a sloppy head kick and Webb moves out of range easily.

Webb is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Knox is keeping busy.

Webb trying to stall but Knox improves his position.
Webb has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Knox after a bit of a struggle.

Knox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Webb shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Webb was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Knox is pushing Webb's head away, looking to escape. Webb manages to hold on to the position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Webb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Webb postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Webb clinches.

Knox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Knox closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Knox jumps guard but Webb stands there with Knox around his waist. Knox gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Knox is breathing heavily.
Webb stalling the fight.
Knox tries to pull guard but Webb holds him up against the cage and eventually Knox drops back down to his feet.

Webb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Knox smiles and moves away.

Knox wants to take a breather but Webb is having none of it.
Knox has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Webb is staying active underneath Knox, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacob Webb will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Knox tightens his grip and picks Webb up, before dumping him to the ground. Webb manages to land in guard.
Knox controls from within his opponent's guard.
Knox stands and throws Webb's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Knox wants to lay and pray for a moment but Webb keeps working.

Knox looking to control but instead Webb has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Webb is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knox pulls his head out easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Knox wants to pass to mount but Webb is defending the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Knox takes the fight into the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Knox is trying to trip Webb. He has hold of a leg but Webb is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Knox persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knox is stalling in the full guard.
Knox wants to control from the top but Webb keeps moving.
Knox wants to stand and escape but instead Webb has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Knox looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Webb has picked Knox up and slammed him! Knox can't keep hold of the triangle and Webb manages to pass to side control!

Webb manages to capitalize on a mistake by Knox to take his back!

Webb patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Knox needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.
Knox tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Webb is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Knox can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Webb is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Knox to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Knox shrugs it off.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frederick Knox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
