The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Won throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Won throws an overhand right that lands on Silva 's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.
Silva now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Won tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Won jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.

A head kick from Won lands but Silva takes it in his stride.

Won shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Silva eats them both and turns towards Won to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Won will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Won throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Won avoids a kick to the body.
A combination from Won does no damage.
As Won backs off Silva throws a huge counter combo but Won manages to avoid it all.
Won throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Won keeps working.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Won's waist but Won gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.

Won fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Won pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Silva back to the ropes. Won follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Won circles away.
Won lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Won rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A slapping body kick lands there for Won.
Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Won is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silva can do to turn this around?

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Won swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yay Wee Won is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yay Wee Won.
