The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pharuqe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pharuqe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chang avoids it really well and circles away.
Pharuqe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chang defends it nicely.
Chang throws a quick counter head kick but Pharuqe was just out of range.
Pharuqe misses with a takedown attempt - Chang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Simone Chang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moses Pharuqe.
Pharuqe dives in and grabs Chang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chang pushes down on Pharuqe's head and hops out.
Chang is looking to counter the offense by Pharuqe and move into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pharuqe throws a head kick that misses.
Pharuqe tries to clinch up but Chang circles away and keeps his distance.
Chang misses with the combination.

Chang pushes Pharuqe up against the cage in a clinch.

Chang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chang.
Pharuqe tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Pharuqe is desperately trying to improve his position but Chang has a good base and remains in mount.
Chang lands a couple of good shots and Pharuqe has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Chang connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Pharuqe to escape the position.
Chang is landing with strikes. Pharuqe can't take much more of this.
Chang controls the action.
Chang gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Pharuqe is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Chang is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Pharuqe won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Chang off his unconscious opponent!
