Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Eddard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Eddard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Guru!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Eddard there.

Eddard gets the takedown into side control.
Guru trying to remain calm as Eddard controls from the top position.

Eddard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The strikes coming from Eddard are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Guru working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eddard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eddard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Guru working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Guru wants to control from the top but Eddard keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guru is defended easily by Eddard.
Eddard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Eddard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Guru was covering up waiting for the punch and Eddard finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Guru is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Eddard scores with a couple of nice shots.

Eddard throws a shot from downtown. Guru moves away and avoids it.
A punch lands to the side of Guru 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Eddard missing with a left hand there. Guru was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Guru closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ground and pound from Guru seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Guru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Guru throws a strike but Eddard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Eddard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guru has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eddard has managed to get both his arms back between Guru's legs - danger averted.

Guru shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eddard as he avoids it easily.

Eddard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guru to the mat! Guru manages to get full guard.

Guru is not content to let Eddard control the position.

Well Eddard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
