Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dul Semprul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simone Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dul Semprul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simone Chang!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semprul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chang but Chang pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chang looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Chang works his way into side control.
Chang working the body and head with strikes.
Chang creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Semprul is trying to escape the position but Chang is controlling the position.
You can see the frustration on Semprul's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Semprul is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Chang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Semprul to his feet.
Semprul tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chang with the counter takedown but Semprul avoids it easily.
Dul Semprul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chang throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Semprul tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chang is in Semprul's guard.

Semprul has an active guard here but Chang has managed to pass into half guard.

Chang is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Semprul sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chang is taking a breather. Semprul says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Semprul is looking to escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Semprul tries to clinch there but Chang circles away.
Semprul wants to clinch up but Chang keeps it at a distance.
A head kick misses from Semprul.
Chang wants to counter the offense by Semprul and move into the clinch position.

Chang scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Chang is working for a kimura but Semprul is defending it quite comfortably.
Chang is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Semprul!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simone Chang dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Chang shoots in and gets a takedown into Semprul's guard.

Semprul had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chang defends it easily.

Chang is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Semprul is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Semprul has escaped and now he's on top!
Semprul has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chang is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Chang looking for a guillotine here but Semprul defends easily.

Semprul wants to stand and escape but instead Chang has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Semprul throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Chang.
Semprul gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Chang counters by clinching up.
Semprul has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chang avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Semprul has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Chang after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dul Semprul. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chang gets control of Semprul's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chang will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Chang thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Semprul wants to control from the top but Chang keeps moving.
Chang is pulling down on Semprul's head. It's preventing any offense from Semprul, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chang is on top in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Chang landing with the ground and pound.
Chang forces his way into half guard.
Chang slips a nice elbow through Semprul's hands, connecting with Semprul's forehead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Semprul tries to roll over but Chang keeps him under control.
Chang is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Chang looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Simone Chang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Semprul throws a combination that misses

and Chang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Semprul's guard.
Chang is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chang works over Semprul with some ground and pound from guard.
Chang stays in close to Semprul's body and controls the position.
Semprul is trying to hold Chang in close to prevent damage but Chang has managed to pass into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Chang drops an elbow to the side of Semprul's head.
Chang seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Chang looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Chang trying to pass the guard but Semprul defending well.
Chang frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chang controlling from the full mount.
Chang has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chang looking to finish Semprul with some ground and pound. This is bad for Semprul!
The referee warns Semprul that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Chang goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Semprul turns into him and now he's in Chang's guard.
Semprul won't allow Chang to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Semprul trying to control the position from guard on top but Chang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Semprul's guard.

Semprul is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Chang pushes down on Semprul's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Semprul is looking to get back to is feet but Chang passes into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Semprul tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Chang presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
BOOM! Chang connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Chang goes for an armbar but Semprul turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Semprul.
Chang is controlling Semprul's posture.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Chang throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Dul Semprul has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Simone Chang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Semprul won't allow Chang to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
Simone Chang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Chang winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
