Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Makefeder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Horcea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Makefeder had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horcea stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Makefeder.

Makefeder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Makefeder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Horcea tries to close the distance and clinch up but Makefeder swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Makefeder misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Makefeder throws a head kick but Horcea moves out of range.
Makefeder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Horcea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Makefeder somewhat.

Makefeder throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Horcea tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Makefeder is in Horcea's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horcea looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Horcea looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horcea bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Makefeder's guard.
Makefeder is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Horcea is controlling him.
Horcea engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horcea throws a big right hand that misses.
Horcea trying to control but Makefeder is working from the bottom.
Makefeder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horcea on the ground.
Horcea pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Makefeder is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Horcea shoots in and gets a takedown into Makefeder's guard.
Horcea prevents Makefeder from getting back to his feet.
Horcea controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Horcea wants to control from the top but Makefeder keeps moving.

Makefeder wants to get back to his feet but Horcea is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Horcea prevents Makefeder from getting back to his feet.

Horcea is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Makefeder keeping moving, preventing Horcea from controlling successfully.

Horcea gets to his feet. Makefeder looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Horcea.

Horcea decides to stand up, so the ref orders Makefeder to his feet.
Horcea throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Makefeder's waist but Makefeder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Horcea off to one side.

Horcea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Makefeder is breathing heavily.

Horcea looking for a guillotine here but Makefeder defends easily.
Horcea has a closed guard, preventing Makefeder from standing up.

A close round but Marcus Horcea will probably get the nod.

Horcea darts in looking for a takedown but Makefeder gets double underhooks and turns Horcea into the cage.

Ron Makefeder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horcea tries for a takedown but Makefeder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Makefeder scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Makefeder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Horcea keeps working.
Makefeder tries to stand but can't do so whilst Horcea controls his leg.
Makefeder misses with a head shot. Horcea uses the momentum to regain guard.

Makefeder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Horcea is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Makefeder has his hands clasped together but Horcea extends and breaks Makefeder's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Horcea.
