Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Gloom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Bobby Turner has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bobby Turner seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Turner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Guido Gloom!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner lands with a straight right. Gloom didn't see that one coming.
Gloom misses with a wild body shot.
Turner is looking for a counter combo.
Gloom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Turner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gloom swings widly with a right hand
and Gloom takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gloom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turner.

Turner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Gloom shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gloom seems to be working for a kimura but Turner defends the submission attempt.

Turner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gloom on the ground.
Turner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Turner has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Gloom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gloom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Turner pulls Gloom in close to prevent any damage.

Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Turner throws a right hand that Gloom ducks under and follows up with a left that Gloom also avoids with ease.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gloom has control of Turner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Turner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gloom with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Turner is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Gloom goes for an armbar but Turner turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Turner.

Gloom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Turner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Turner tries to get out of the position.

Turner went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gloom turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Gloom throws a chopping leg kick but Turner manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gloom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gloom cracks the inside of Turner's front leg.
Gloom lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Turner is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Gloom dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Turner. That did some damage!

Turner lands with an uppercut that bounces Gloom off the ropes and back into range.
Guido Gloom seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gloom walks into a stiff left hand from Turner.


It looks like Guido Gloom has been cut.
That kick from Gloom tenderised Turner's leg. Turner is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turner misses with a few strikes there.

Gloom tries a head kick but it misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner looks to score with a jab to the body but Gloom is just out of range.
Gloom connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gloom tests Turner's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Turner counters with a right hand that sends Gloom tumbling to the canvas! Can Turner finish him? He dives into Gloom's guard looking to do just that!


Gloom is rocked!
Turner arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Gloom's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bobby Turner!

A very excited looking Bobby Turner made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
