Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Wates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Henrik Messinger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates is trying hard to land a takedown here. Messinger sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wates takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Messinger scores with a jab to the body.
Wates looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wates gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Messinger.
Nice sprawl there from Messinger as Wates shoots in.
Wates takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wates is breathing heavily.
Wates with a poor takedown
and Messinger counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Wates. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheers as Messinger lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wates doesn't seem phased though.
Messinger with a nice cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wates wants to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Messinger! But no joy.
Messinger digs a good body shot into Wates's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wates takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Messinger drops Wates with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wates looks back up at him and smiles so Messinger waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wates is rocked!
Messinger lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Oh Wates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Messinger scores with a hook to the body. Wates takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wates walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Wates limp body while Messinger jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Henrik Messinger!
In his post fight interview, Henrik Messinger started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
