Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Ferrigno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simon Chang!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrigno displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chang.
Chang shoots in for a double leg but Ferrigno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ferrigno closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chang to the mat! Chang manages to get full guard.

Chang has his feet on Ferrigno's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Ferrigno closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chang's guard.
Ferrigno wants to pass the guard but Chang is keeping the position.
Chang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ferrigno is looking to advance position but Chang has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Chang wants to control the pace but Ferrigno is squirming around nicely.
Ferrigno is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferrigno tries to reverse the position but Chang maintains control.
Chang trying to control but Ferrigno is having none of it.
Chang has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ferrigno's face.
Chang trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ferrigno's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chang landing punches.
Chang throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chang trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ferrigno tries to hold on but Chang postures up.
Chang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chang throwing strikes here but Ferrigno is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Ferrigno is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ferrigno is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Ferrigno goes for a double leg but Chang avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chang continues to drive forward.
Ferrigno shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chang but Chang pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chang tries to counter with a clinch but Ferrigno shakes him off and moves away.

Ferrigno turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Ferrigno tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Chang sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Chang is trying to maintain the position but Ferrigno is very close to passing his half guard.
Ferrigno working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lou Ferrigno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferrigno is trying to control. Chang wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ferrigno stalling away here and it's allowed Chang to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Ferrigno looking to sit in guard and control but Chang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ferrigno wants to control the position but Chang says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Ferrigno drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
