Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drasek Riven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drasek Riven has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dwayne Frederick's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwayne Frederick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drasek Riven!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riven lands a big head kick that sends Frederick tumbling to the mat! Riven takes a step backwards and waves Frederick back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Dwayne Frederick has been cut.
Riven misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Riven looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Frederick!


Frederick is rocked!
Frederick is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh Frederick is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riven in side control, throwing shots but Frederick defends.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Riven gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Frederick has a hand on Riven's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Riven takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Riven connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Riven has Frederick pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Riven pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Frederick tumbling to the mat - Riven dives into Frederick's guard.

Riven stands and throws Frederick's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Frederick tries to buck Riven off but Riven is having none of it.

Riven decides to stand back up.

Frederick changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riven looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Frederick has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Frederick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Riven but Riven pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Riven throws a body shot but no joy.
Frederick misses with a few strikes there.
Frederick avoids a kick to the body.

No luck for Frederick with that takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Riven throws a right and a left that Frederick avoids nicely.
As Riven tries to get set, Frederick tries to push him back and clinch up but Riven manages to avoid the attempt.

Riven has taken the fight to the clinch.

Frederick ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frederick no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Riven sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Frederick's guard.
Frederick is in trouble now - Riven has advanced to mount!

Riven clinches up with Frederick and pushes him back against the cage.

Riven shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frederick's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Frederick enables Riven to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frederick manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Drasek Riven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Riven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
