Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Russian Zombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jango Fett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Till I Collapse" by Eminem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zombie gets a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Fett fails to land.
Fett misses with the head strike.
I was talking to Zombie's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Zombie misses with a punch on the inside.
Zombie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Zombie.

Fett blocking some punches.
Zombie is trying to force a seperation but Fett has the dominant position.
Zombie throws a punch but it's blocked by Fett.
Zombie tries to work over Fett's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fett tries to pull guard but Zombie holds him up against the cage and eventually Fett drops back down to his feet.

Zombie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Zombie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fett throws a fast counter high kick but Zombie manages to duck under it in time.

Fett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zombie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Fett counters with a nice uppercut.

Fett drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Zombie manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fett tries to circle away but Zombie has him pinned against the cage.
Zombie lands a body shot.
Fett lands a left hand.

Zombie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Fett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zombie won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fett lands a few punches from side control.
Zombie tries to improve position but can't.
A lull in the action here as Fett stalls from top position.

Zombie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The fighters circling - Zombie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Zombie scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Russian Zombie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Zombie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fett looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Fett was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

and Fett makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Zombie slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Zombie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fett shapes to counter with a head kick.

Fett takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Fett goes for a double leg but Zombie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zombie continues to drive forward.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Russian Zombie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fett closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Fett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fett throws an overhand right that lands on Zombie's shoulder, as Zombie tries to avoid the shot.

Fett catches Zombie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Russian Zombie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fett lands a really nice looking cross but Zombie seems unphased.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fett takes one on the button.
Zombie wants to clinch.
And Fett tries to counter it with a takedown but Zombie pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fett takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Fett shoots in and bounces Zombie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Zombie has Fett pulled in close to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russian Zombie will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

and Fett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zombie's guard.
Zombie wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zombie just stands there and leans against the cage.

Zombie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zombie wants to land a leg kick but Fett is out of range.
Fett looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Zombie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fett.

Zombie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Zombie.
Fett lands an uppercut.
Zombie lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Zombie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Zombie throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fetts head.
Fett keeps control of Zombie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fett jumps guard.
Zombie trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fett's guard.
Zombie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fett tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zombie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zombie has managed to get both his arms back between Fett's legs - danger averted.

Zombie wanted to stand there but Fett had control of the position.
Zombie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fett is looking to regain half guard here but Zombie keeps moving and retains side control.

Zombie stands up.
Fett wants to clinch up but Zombie keeps it at a distance.
Zombie misses with a looping left.
Zombie tries to clinch up but Fett circles away and keeps his distance.
Fett appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Russian Zombie.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zombie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
