Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Warring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warring has chosen Lick my chocolate salty balls live by chef from South Park as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Askren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Warring!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warring takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A punch combination from Askren misses.

Warring lands a big head kick that sends Askren tumbling to the mat! Warring takes a step backwards and waves Askren back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Askren is rocked!


It looks like Jon Askren has been cut.
Warring lands with a thumping leg kick.
Oh Askren is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Warring throws a head kick but Askren moves out of range.
Askren takes a swing at Warring's ribcage but misses.
Askren seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Askren lands a really nice looking cross but Warring seems unphased.
Warring fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Askren.
Askren seems to have got his legs back now.
Warring throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Askren tries to counter by clinching up but Warring breaks away and moves out of range.
Marcus Warring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Askren throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Warring was covering up waiting for the punch and Askren finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Askren postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Askren throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Warring works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Askren slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Askren is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Askren wants to control from the top but Warring keeps moving.

Askren not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Warring has hold of Askren's hands but Askren slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Askren looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Warring with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Askren uses his free foot to push down on Warring's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Warring.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Warring can do anything to dispel that myth.

Warring is rocked!
Warring takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Askren cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Warring is still in real trouble! Can Askren finish him?
Warring takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Askren's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Our winner, Jon Askren, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
