The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes tries to clinch but MacDuff moves out of range.
Holmes looks to clinch
and MacDuff counters with a nice uppercut.
MacDuff circles away from the clinch attempt
and MacDuff cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Holmes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight.

Holmes gets a clinch.

MacDuff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MacDuff keeps the fight on the outside.
Holmes tries to clinch there but MacDuff circles away.

MacDuff tries to keep at a distance but Holmes has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by MacDuff.

MacDuff breaks from the clinch.
MacDuff slips under a jab.
Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch but MacDuff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
MacDuff doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Holmes wants to clinch.
Holmes fails with an attempt to clinch.
MacDuff avoids the body shot from Holmes.
Archie MacDuff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Holmes moves to clinch but MacDuff breaks away
and MacDuff counters with a nice body shot.

Holmes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming MacDuff to the mat! MacDuff manages to get full guard.
MacDuff wants to stand but Holmes is controlling the position.
MacDuff not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Holmes looking to pass the guard.

Holmes drops back looking for a leg! MacDuff is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacDuff manages to kick Holmes off! Holmes jumps back into MacDuff's guard.

Holmes drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Holmes as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! MacDuff screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Holmes! Nice submission victory there!

A relieved looking Hank Holmes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
