Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malakai Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordan Vukovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gordan Vukovic!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex is looking to land body kicks.
Vukovic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rex lands a nice looking kick to the body. Vukovic takes a step back to recover.
Rex throws a right hand that Vukovic ducks under and follows up with a left that Vukovic also avoids with ease.
Vukovic throws a low kick but Rex avoids it.
Rex scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Rex motions for Vukovic to come forward. Rex throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Rex swings wildly with an uppercut but Vukovic uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rex has hold of Vukovic's hands but Vukovic slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rex tries to kick Vukovic off but Vukovic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Vukovic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rex with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rex's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Vukovic wants to finish this one by submission but Rex is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vukovic.

Rex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vukovic on the ground.
