Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Rusted (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jethro Rusted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rusted misses with a hook. Hall ducked under it nicely.
Rusted takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hall fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hall throws a series of punches but Rusted moves out of range.

Rusted catches Hall with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Rusted shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Rusted goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rusted sprawls and moves away.
Rusted with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rusted fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hall manages to avoid it.
Hall throws a sloppy head kick and Rusted moves out of range easily.

Jethro Rusted seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rusted looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rusted lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rusted connects with a right hand. Hall shakes it off.

Rusted fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hall looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rusted feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Halls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hall lands with a shot to the body.
Hall fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rusted avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rusted moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rusted scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hall doesn't seem bothered though.

Rusted tries to buck Hall off but Hall is having none of it.

Hall is trying to control the action in half guard but Rusted is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rusted is trying to control but can't.
Rusted moves into full guard.

Rusted is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hall defends well.
Rusted tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Hall dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hall throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Rusted's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Hall dives in looking to finish as Rusted flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Hall's strikes! Hall is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Rusted's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Rusted was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
