Nanahara comes to the ring accompanied by Sail. Mayhem has chosen Bullet With A Name by Nonpoint as his entrance music. John Mayhem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanahara scores with a decent looking hook.
Mayhem throws a hook but Nanahara avoids it easily.

Good leg kick by Mayhem there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like Nanahara was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mayhem.
Mayhem takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mayhem fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nanahara looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Nanahara lands a left and a right that send Mayhem crashing to the mat, dazed. Nanahara thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

John Mayhem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mayhem fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nanahara.
Nanahara misses with a few strikes there.
Mayhem steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nanahara.

Nanahara drops Mayhem with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mayhem looks back up at him and smiles so Nanahara waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action!
