Flannery comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flannery fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barnett checks it well.
No joy there for Flannery, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barnett is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Flannery.

It looks like Brock Barnett has been cut.
Flannery ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Flannery swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Barnett counters with a takedown into side control.

Barnett goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Flannery has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barnett but great work by Flannery.
