Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bam Margera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Margera's entrance music is Clutch - The Regulator. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Bam Margera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Hewitt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hewitt moves away.
Margera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Margera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hewitt.

Hewitt looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Margera wants to sweep but no luck.
Margera seems keen to control Hewitt's posture.
Hewitt throws a big right hand that misses.
Margera keeping moving, preventing Hewitt from controlling successfully.
Hewitt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hewitt is working for a kimura but Margera is defending it quite comfortably.
Hewitt is thwarting Margera's attempts to control the position.
Margera moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hewitt won't allow Margera to sweep him here.
Margera is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Hewitt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Margera is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hewitt, into his guard.

Hewitt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Margera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Margera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hewitt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Margera controls the pace.
Margera keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hewitt's head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Margera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hewitt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Margera controls the pace.

Margera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hewitt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Margera has managed to get both his arms back between Hewitt's legs - danger averted.
Margera wants to control from the top but Hewitt keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Margera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hewitt is defended easily by Margera.
Margera throws a quick counter head kick but Hewitt was just out of range.
Hewitt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Margera lands a nice hook to Hewitt's body. Hewitt takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hewitt stuns Margera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bam Margera will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Margera throws a hook but Hewitt blocks it.
Hewitt steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Margera.

Hewitt struggles to land a body shot inside as Margera controls his hands.

Hewitt misses with a punch to the body.
With the fighters up against the cage, Margera throws an elbow but misses.
Margera fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hewitt has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Margera is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hewitt lands a hook that snaps the head of Margera backwards.
Hewitt wants to take the fight to the mat but Margera manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hewitt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hewitt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Margera manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Margera holds on and takes a little breather.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Margera throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hewitt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Margera counters with a stiff right hand.
Hewitt dives in and grabs Margera's left leg, looking for a takedown. Margera pushes down on Hewitt's head and hops out.
Bam Margera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Hewitt.

Margera works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bam Margera is winning the standup battle so far.
Margera lands a nice looking body kick.
Margera has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hewitt finds it's way round the side to connect with Margera's head.
Margera takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Margera looks to score with a jab to the body but Hewitt is just out of range.

Margera fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hewitt checks it well.

Margera stuns Hewitt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Margera's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hewitt under the eye.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Margera.
Margera stuffs the takedown attempt from Hewitt. Hewitt gets slowly back to his feet.

Hewitt blocks a leg kick.
Hewitt avoids the body shot from Margera.
Hewitt tries to clinch there but Margera circles away.
Margera scores with the left hand. Hewitt knows he should have avoided that one.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Margera throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Margera throws a looping overhand right but Hewitt ducks down to avoid it.

A telegraphed right hand from Margera misses the target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hewitt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bam Margera showed his dominance in that final round.
