The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garrison manages to avoid it.
Despite the aggression on Garrison's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Garrison avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Simmons. Garrison does a little dance to reset his feet.
A left and a right from Simmons both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Greg Garrison has been cut.
Simmons lands an overhand right.
Simmons cracks Garrison with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Garrison tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Simmons pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Garrison is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Simmons!
