Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucas Costa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knowles Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa misses with a body kick.
Costa throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Costa lands a head kick!
Costa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Costa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Costa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lucas Costa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knowles Jackson.
Costa tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Costa.
Costa blocks the body kick.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Costa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Costa.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Costa was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson sitting in guard here, content to control.
Jackson won't allow Costa to get back to his feet.
Jackson advances to half guard.
Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Costa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Jackson tries to pass to full mount but Costa defends it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jackson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jackson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jackson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Costa scores with a head kick.

Jackson has managed to clinch.
Costa tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.
Jackson looking for a takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Costa's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Jackson.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Costa just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jackson dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lucas Costa will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Costa scores with a push kick.
Costa throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson throws a counter combo.
Lucas Costa is winning the standup battle so far.
Costa misses with a head kick.
Costa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Costa circles away.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Costa.
Costa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Costa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Costa.
Costa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Costa's guard.
Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Costa's guard.
Jackson stalling.

Jackson seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Costa is in trouble now - Jackson has advanced to mount!
Jackson controlling the pace for now.
A nice elbow there by Jackson.
Jackson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jackson lands a nice shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson looking to finish Costa with some ground and pound. This is bad for Costa!
Costa is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jackson has taken his back!
Jackson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Costa won't enjoy being in this position. Jackson looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Costa is tapping - it's over boys! Jackson picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Knowles Jackson!
Knowles Jackson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
